Star Wars, Target and
UNICEF have teamed up with a handful of the industry’s leading digital influencers and bloggers from
Foray Collective to style and sport the limited-edition range of upcoming “
Force 4 Fashion” t-shirts.
This fashion-meets-fundraising initiative is inspired by the themes of rebellion in the upcoming Rogue One: A Star Wars Story film, which revolves around the idea of ordinary people who do something extraordinary. Through Foray Collective, a leading influencer marketing agency, a selection of the most in-demand bloggers and style trendsetters were tapped, each of whom are changing the face of the digital industry. They have each rebelled against a traditional path and forged their own force for change in this ever-evolving digital landscape.
These ten top digital influencers each put their unique spin on styling these t-shirts in an exclusive shoot in Downtown LA, as each are “fashion rebels” in their own right.
The exclusive t-shirts are available exclusively at Target and Target.com, and are in support of UNICEF’s Kid Power Program. For every shirt sold, $5 will be donated to the U.S. Fund for UNICEF, up to $1 million, which will help UNICEF improve the lives of children around the world.
Modeliste caught up with some of our all-time favorite influencers and found out how they rebelled against a traditional path and are forging their own future in the ever-evolving digital landscape.
“Working a desk job was never for me. I have always loved fashion and travel, and could never stay in one place at the same time. Technology has given me the ability to express my creativity everywhere that I am.”
Julia Friedman
“I chose to rebel against a traditional path because I felt like there was always more I could be doing to feed my creative side. I always wanted to do something that not everyone else did, and blogging serves as a free and creative space for me to do as I please.”
Saul Rasco, Trend Styled
“I chose to rebel against the traditional career path after realizing that going against the grain has a bigger impact on what I believe it means to be successful. Creating, impacting, and influencing the world through my own digital ideas and style is what makes me feel accomplished every day.”
Robert Graham
“Growing up, I had the traditional 9-5 as soon as I graduated from college. After about 4 days, I knew something was off. I lasted about a year at the job and never really felt fulfilled. I would sit and daydream of doing something that I actually loved. So, I grew some balls and quit the 9-5 to pursue my dreams. To say it was the best decision I ever made would be an understatement. I now love what I do, who I work with, and consider myself extremely successful in all aspects of my life.”
Blake Steven
“I chose to rebel because I wanted a job that gave me the freedom to do what I love every day. Not taking a traditional career path allowed me to work hard immediately for my goals. It gave me the opportunity to express myself creatively, meet amazing people whilst simultaneously promoting causes and projects I believe in. I have never looked back.”
Kelechi Kelu
“I’ve always marched to the beat of my own drum. It’s who I have always been. Choosing a career where I could set the rules and be COMPLETELY ME in the process, was a no brainer!”
